Mercedes has presented a new concept-car, the "Concept Coupè SUV" which combines the idea of coupe and the idea of SUV contrasting the BMW X6.
"Sensual as a coupé – visionary as an SUV" these are the words used by Gorden Wagener, Head of Design at Mercedes-Benz, to describe the Concept Coupè SUV. The prototype is 5 metres long, 2 metres wide and 1,75 metres tall. Definitely Massive!
Flared wheel arches, 22-inch wheels, flat and extended roofline give the car an extreme dynamism.
The front side is pretty aggressive. You'll find the big and striking radiator grille with central chrome louvre and Full-LED headlights.
The rear-end is characterized by the slim band of rear lights and by the bumper which includes the registration plate and tailpipes of the dual-flow exhaust system. It's interesting to note that there is a feature that has for generations distinguished the large coupé models from Mercedes-Benz: It's the typical shape of the rear window which is rounded off at the top.
It conveys a sense of modern luxury and luxurious sportiness!
The Concept is fitted with "Dynamic Select Control", a system through which we can change the parameters that affect the drive making the car suitable for all conditions!
The Concept Coupè SUV is painted in the "ALU-BEAM" paint finish which reminds to the Silver Arrows of the 1930s and 1950s.
